Denise Peter
Denise Peter is an artist from Hessen, Germany. Her work is primarily wildflowers and outdoor scenery, both natural and human, in colourful gouaches and contrasting silouettes. I originally saw her art on one of the many flower-focused Instagram feeds I follow, and loved them so much I grabbed a selection of postcards to support my Postcrossing habit.
Like many sellers in the stationery world, Peters packages her products lovingly, ensuring the items arrived in excellent condition, and with those extra touches like thank you cards and a twine ribbon tying it all together.
In addition to the copious quantity of postcards I got, I rounded out my order with some stickers and notepads. I found the notepad paper somewhat wanting (as I find is common from the printshops supplying many artist shops like Peters’s), and even dryer gel pens bled through, despite the smooth texture and lovely print. The stickers were nice, if a bit pricey, and I wish a larger selection of shapes and sizes were available. But on the whole, I love her artwork, and especially get a kick sending these postcards to postcrossers and penpals in Germany. I recommend checking out her work!
