Four Bears
Four Bears Sticker Club is another resource for fun adhesives, and in the tradition of Pipsticks and Violet, I have sought to use some of the goodies they offer.
Four Bears differs from previous vendors I’ve tried in that they are based near home, in Ottawa, Ontario. Whilst a Québec sticker club which produces and sources materials locally would be ideal, I realize that’s a big ask, and Four Bears is probably as close as I can get at the moment.
I like Four Bears’s stickers quite well, though like my previous complaint of Pipsticks, even their “Big Kids” packs seem to often contain sheets made for tiny tiny fingers. Perhaps the propensity for the hobby to be populated mostly by women, and fat gay men like myself are in a notable minority of stationery addicts, so I suppose these are fine for the majority of the market. Still, some of these can be maddening to pull from their backing and apply without damaging or destroying them.
Still, I like the fact that Four Bears uses real postage stamps to ship by Canada Post, the accompanying storage envelopes, and the little editorial and activity paper slipped into each issue. There’s also always a unifying theme, capped off with a postcard perfect for my Postcrossing habit.
If you like getting sticker goodies on a recurring basis and you want to send some of your stationery budget north, I recommend Four Bears.
