Dearest Nicky

Dearest Nicky is a letter-writing-centric stationer based in Ontario, and I picked up a cache of nice paper and stickers from them recently for writing and embellishing my mail. I ran into some problems with their degree of customer service, though, as the package had not yet been delivered more than 6 weeks after placing the order. Multiple enquiries went unanswered, but the package eventually arrived after more than 2 months, with no further explanation.

Something I enjoy seeing when receiving my supplies is when the seller uses real stamps, rather than just the printed prepaid labels. Like many other stationers, I love that they decorate their packaging to make unboxing presentations a natural part of the promotional process.

Dearest Nicky’s letter paper is very high quality, but also very pricey. I think the paper stock they use is great, but since it is all printed for single-sided use (either with only one side printed at all, or with a second side printed with full-colour illustration and not intended for writing on), I think they could reduce the price and use a lower-quality paper. Ghosting and bleed-through from fountain pens and stamps is not as much of an issue when you don’t want to write on both sides. But in general, I’m happy with what I see, and once I overcome my hesitancy by their lack of communication I’ll probably order again.
