Chambers, Part 2

Chambers, the world’s cutest little pencil factory, has a new product in stock: two sets of branded HB eraser-tipped packs, one in pastels and the other in a range of goth colours. I’m not a huge lover of eraser-tips, but I was quite tickled to get another batch from this maker. Like many small-run makers (most notably Viarco), I found a graphite dust coating the product, which is either a homely touch or a quality control issue, depending on your perspective.

Whilst I have been fairly happy with all my graphite Chambers Pencils, I find that the coloured pencils I bought in my last shipment contained very fragile and brittle cores, rendering them unusable as the cores are a mess of breaks from shipping. Not sure if this is an issue with the packaging or the delivery, but it’s not the first time I’ve experience this phenomenon with coloured pencils (the previous one being some Voskresensk aquarelles). Despite this, I’ll continue keeping an eye on Chambers and likely grab whatever branded pencils they come up with next.
