AFMAT Electric Long-Point Sharpener

I haven’t usually had good luck with electric sharpeners. I generally find them overpriced compared to their manual counterparts, especially as so many of them are not of the best quality. The last one I tried out also sharpened pencils with a quite short and convex point which challenged even my best firm pencil cores. And it stopped working after three months. Though I haven’t had my latest that long, it has nonetheless proved my favourite sharpener I’ve ever used.

The AFMAT Long-Point Electric Sharpener is amazing. It creates an exceptionally long point that significantly surpasses even my beloved Exacto classroom units, and the shaving is clean and smooth, unlike many burr sharpeners. The points have proven especially strong despite the large amount of exposted core they create. I can even use it for (most of) my coloured pencils. The sharpener is battery-powered and charges with a standard USB adapter.

So far I have only recharged it once in the month or so that I have had it, despite heavy use. Assuming it proves more durable than my last one, I think this one will be a keeper. I highly recommend it.
